Orani, Bataan – Jose Rizal Institute

JRI is a school for the poor the goal is to teach young people a good education the skills how to live in everyday life. The school became famous in Orani for its good records. The school transformed many lives became poor to average. The school was supported by the municipal in everyday needs.

According to http://www.myjri.net, the school is the oldest establishment in Orani, Bataan. It opened in June 1926.
The school aimed to help the poor young people who cant continue their studies. Mr. Angeles was then teaching in a public school in Manila. Mr. Dela Rosa was a clerk that time in the city assessor’s office. They requested to Mr. Simon to join them. It was the triumvirate which blazed a new trail by establishing the first private school in Bataan, The Jose Rizal Institute

The JRI (Orani) story will be incomplete without giving the JRI (Orion) story as a backgrounder, Orani achieved very high progress. The triumvirate remembered Orani. They, planned to open a branch there, controversy pop between Orani and Balanga. Teodora Camacho a politican, planned to transfer highschool in Orani to Balanga. The philippine constabulary prevented what could have been a bloody encounter.

The school encountered Second World War and it opened again in June 1947
