Limay, BataanOil Refining Corporation

Oil Refining Corporation was made in Bataan because it is near in the ocean, so its easy to export raw materials. Ferry is the transportation used to carry raw materials bringing it middle east and other oil exporting countries. They don’t import finish product because it is expensive. Finish product are gasoline, diesel, and other raw materials this is for manufacturing like plastics, raisins, asphalts, etc.

 

According to abarrelfull.wikidot.com, the Oil Refining Corporation in Limay, Bataan is owned by Petron Philippines, with 9 million tons per year or 180,000 barrels per day capacity. It is currently under  g construction with indefinite completion and a budget of 1.8 billion dollars. The main contractors are Axens, in charge of the second grassroots FCC unit, and CB  &I, in charge of tail gas treating and hydrogen plant technologies. According to the company, the refinery’s added refurbishment will enable it to produce quality fuels and will produce much higher white product yield. Also, upon the project’s completion, it would be able to give greater flexibility on it crude sourcing, including cheaper and heavier crude grades.
